Share your affiliate links / get more attention on your links (on our site, we don't take a cut)

Hey guys,

it's Tim, one of the co-founders of BlueFox (a free trial marketplace + subscription-manager).

[I use to be an affiliate marketer myself, had much success and even became one of only 13 worldwide officially approved Shopify education partners, proof here]

Anyway. At BlueFox we have a marketplace of hundreds of free trials of services (we're adding more and more every day).

We Just launched a new feature that we call "affiliate lists". It's a way affiliate marketers/creators can build a list of their favorite tools/services and use THEIR very own affiliate links. We don't take any percentage or ask for a fee.

Example of a list: https://www.getbluefox.com/lists/app-recommendations-by-melanie-newman

It's 100% free for both you, the affiliate marketer and the user who might end up signing up via your affiliate link.

To increase the trust, we developed a feature for all users that they can decide if they want to get reminded by us to cancel their free trials before they turn into a paid subscription, or not. We also don't charge anything for this.

Since this is a new feature (and we're proud to support creators) we will feature lists in our 120k newsletter and on the front page.

You'll also benefit from our in-house traffic.

To make everything legally correct, your users will see the necessary affiliate disclosure on your lists. Worry-free affiliate earnings.

To cover an important question: "if your website is as awesome as you say, why the heck don't you use your own affiliates links and get rich af?"

Can't deny that we haven't thought about it.

But we decided to not monetize it for now. We're an early-stage startup and our #1 goal right now is user growth.

Also, our mid- and long-term monetization plans are quite different from affiliate marketing.

However, the platform is a great way to leverage affiliate links and so we decided to open it for affiliate marketers to give them 1 place to:

  • discover tools they might want to promote to their audience
  • have a curated list of their favorite tools = easy shareable with audience
  • get more attention to their affiliate links because we actively promote the lists

You can sign up and start creating your lists for free here: https://www.getbluefox.com

Create a list: In BlueFox, click your profile picture (top right) > My lists > Create a List+

We thoughtfully discussed this feature before launching it but couldn't find a reason why we shouldn't do it. If you believe this feature is crap and doesn't help OR have a better idea OR just want to share your thoughts on this, I'm happy to respond in the comments :)
