Hi! While I've researched affiliate marketing before, I've never actually done it myself so a lot of these questions may seem pretty trivial to some experienced in the field, so please bear with me.
A little background: My idea is essentially a unique shopping experience - I'm not providing anything of "value" to the customer (i.e. I'm not writing a blog post about how great the product is) besides the shopping experience. I am a software engineer by trade, and have written mobile apps before, so the tech part isn't really a concern for me (in fact, as a proof of concept I already wrote 90% of the code! Fully functional, besides some bugs I need to workout)
I need to populate my app with products, and the nature of shopping through an online store is more products, the better - keep the user engaged for longer. My questions are as follows:
Will affiliate marketing programs not let me in if I'm not writing blog posts or anything about the product? quite literally, I built a webscraper to scrape the products off sellers sites, and then put it in my database to serve to my app - their link is placed (which I intend to replace with an affiliate link) and credit (i.e. "This product was found on WEBSITE. would you like to continue with your purchase?") is also given, but I am still not sure if this is allowed.
Second, how many affiliate links am I allowed to take out at once? I'm not talking about a trivial amount, I want as many as possible. I am open to the fact that I might need to start with products that aren't affiliate links and are just regular links to the products, but eventually I would like as many as possible affiliate links.
Thanks in advance! Sorry if these questions seem a bit naive, I'm brand new in this space but I would like to try to release my app without violating any laws / regulations about relisting products and such. Any info you have would be kindly appreciated.
