Will FB pixel data still be attributed to ad impressions after redirecting users across multiple domains?

So example 1: User sees 'AD1' and clicks it. They see a landing page and click into a call to action and gets redirected to a third party website and makes a purchase. The pixel for the account that served the ad is placed on the thank-you page for that conversion.

Does the pixel figure out what ad to attribute the conversion to based on cookies the user has?

ie: user clicks "AD1" and gets cookied with "AD1" cookie?

If they do get cookied then would having them redirected off the FB mobile app into their browser cause that cookie to not be available to the browser when they make the conversion? Like if they are in their mobile app and the CTA they click opens their "chrome browser" will the chrome browser not have the cookie of them clicking the ad?

I'm asking because it seems my FB campaigns are not attributing conversions to my ads. If i go to the event manager, i can see conversion activity, but my campaigns are not tracking conversion.
