Do the higher commissions from CJ compensate for greater public brand-recognition of Amazon?

I've historically played with AdSense type stuff, and am exploring affiliate marketing as an additional revenue stream. Specifically, I'm looking at some affiliate marketing within certain apparel and beauty niches. However, I know that Amazon as of lately has very low commission rates, and CJ's appear to be higher.

With that said, I know people trust the Amazon brand and may be more likely to purchase... Which has played out better for you guys?

Thanks!
