I am one of those over thinkers, who spends too much time analyzing to the point of no action. I first started researching affiliate marketing around 2005-ish, and finally (sort-of) took action after about two years of leeching. I went to clickbank, made an account, and found some PSP rom subscription sites. I wrote about 5 e-zine articles that compared three subscription based sites, re-wrote each of them a few times and called it a day. After about 3 months, I finally started to get some sales, I think for a total of $300 before the articles stopped converting, and websites got shutdown.
I have been looking to get back into AM, but for real this time. I'm having a hard time sorting through all the muck. I have a hard time trusting posts and learning resources that lead to e-mail captures and the like. I don't want to go down the circular path of selling AM courses as my business goal. A lot of methods that seemed to work back then seem defunct now. I definitely am having a hard time putting the pieces together. Everytime I start to lay out a plan, my research keeps telling me that it's not a viable option.
I have a good job, but I am looking to build a stable income, to eventually become financially independent enough to work from home. My current goal is about $60k, in 6 years.
I am looking to start with something simple, like a squeeze page maybe? I know a lot of the bits and pieces but my brain is a scattered mess. I don't like to put myself out there like this but I'm trying to push past my comfort level.
What is a simple AM style/method that you think will help me relearn, or learn for the first time, some fundamentals of AM. This is an accountability post for myself, and to hopefully wrap me mind around a starting point.
